The symptoms of cancer extend beyond those you feel physically, such as tiredness and pain. Symptoms may also include worry, stress, fear, or practical concerns such as transportation or finances. It is important that your health care team understands all aspects of your cancer experience.

Each time you visit the cancer centre, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire about symptoms that you may be experiencing. The information you provide will assist your health care team in building a care plan tailored for you. Sharing your symptoms or concerns with your doctor will help to:

  • Make the most of your visit
  • Control your symptoms early
  • Ensure you receive the right care at the right time
  • Provide better care
