Pain related to cancer can affect you both physically and emotionally. Pain can affect healing and cause fatigue, loss of appetite and problems sleeping. Dealing with pain also takes energy that you need to fight disease and carry out normal daily activities.
For most people, pain related to cancer or its treatment can be controlled. Your healthcare team can help you find ways to prevent, manage or relieve your pain.
LRCP Pain and Symptom Clinic
The Pain and Symptom Clinic at LRCP is a supportive care clinic that addresses pain and other symptoms (often neurological) related to cancer or cancer treatment at any point during the cancer journey. Patients may have complex or pre-existing chronic pain, psychosocial needs, and/or struggle with substance abuse. Referrals are encouraged for cancer patients with intractable cancer-related pain who carry one or more of these co-morbidities.
