Ontario is moving toward a system that decentralizes less complex chemotherapy treatments to community hospitals. Care received in community hospitals is the same care that would be received in larger centres. Treatment is determined by the Oncologist who is caring for the patient and supervised by local physicians who are trained in cancer care. Clinics are available in Woodstock, St. Thomas, Wingham, Stratford and Owen Sound.
